Colas assists in emergency near the M25

2019. 06. 22..

The Colas team received a great honour, as the police chief of Heves County, major general László Czinege wrote us a letter to thank us for helping out in an emergency situation.

The unfortunate accident occurred on 17 June on the M3 motorway, where a bus carrying foreign students drove off the road at chainage 108+100. After hitting a ditch and breaking through the game fence, the runaway vehicle crashed into the embankment at the spot where the overpass of the M25 is being constructed.

Colleagues from Colas Hungária working on the site did not hesitate, and started rescuing the children and administering first aid right away. They also continued to cooperate actively in the rescue effort after the arrival of the emergency services.

In his letter addressed to chairman-CEO István Sokorai, the police chief thanked each and every employee of the M25 project office for their assistance. In particular, he expressed his gratitude to site manager Gábor Galla, who reacted quickly, having a great role in helping the rescue operation and taking the best possible care of the people in need.

Of course, having no accidents is the best option, but if things go sideways, our colleagues are always devoted to lend a hand. We would hereby like to thank the entire team of the M25 project office for their exemplary attitude.
