The company’s predecessor, Észak-magyarországi Kőbánya Vállalat (Northern Hungarian Quarrying Company) joined the Colas Group under the name Colas Északkő Bányászati Kft. on 29 May 1991.
The quarries of Colas Északkő are located in North-eastern Hungary, between the Danube and the Tokaj Mountains. Our major products are various andesite-based aggregates, but our product range also comprises soil-improving grinds, armourstone, paving stone, and ceramic-industry raw materials from rhyolite tuff.
