Works on the road 47 bypass came to another milestone on 17 October, when structural works were finished on Hungary’s highest elevated roundabout outside Hódmezővásárhely. “We installed more than 13,000 cubic metres of concrete and 2,200 tonnes of rebar in just over half a year, and we managed to keep all the tight deadlines so far” – said Péter Sebestény, the CEO of Colas Közlekedésépítő Zrt. As he added, the company has tackled the most demanding parts of the job. In case weather conditions do not halt the finishing works, the project will be completed on time by next spring.
