As a nearly 70-year-old subsidiary of the Group, the activities of Colas Alterra comprise utility construction, the installation of gas, district heating, water and sewage lines, the construction of treatment plants and waste disposal facilities, the performance of flood control projects, as well as backing alternative forms of energy use in both Budapest and other settlements. Colas Alterra has also mastered works in densely-built urban surroundings: we have decades of experience when it comes to the renovation of public spaces, rail transit networks, public utilities, or comprehensive urban rehabilitation schemes – all of which require flawless organisation.

Construction Industry Award for Excellence 2013 – Budapest Central Wastewater Treatment Plant
Colas Alterra won the award jointly with Hídépítő in the infrastructure category for constructing the Budapest Central Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Construction Industry Award for Excellence 2013 – BCWTP main currentline discharge
In the environmental and water engineering facilities category, the main currentline discharge of the Budapest Central Wastewater Treatment Plant was recognised with the Award for Excellence.
In 2013, the Construction Committee of the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers honoured our regional director, Attila Pappert, with a Creator Award.
Construction Industry Award for Excellence 2011 – Ferencváros pump station, stormwater-side system
In 2011, we brought home the Award in the infrastructure category for rebuilding the stormwater-side system of the Ferencváros pump station.
The Construction Committee of the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers Magyar presented the 2011 Creator Award to our site manager, Zsolt Farkas.
Construction Industry Award for Excellence 2010 – Szeged main collector
In 2010, Colas Alterra Zrt. entered the race in the infrastructure category with the Szeged main collector, which ultimately received the Award for Excellence.
Construction Industry Award for Excellence, Certificate of Merit 2010 – Tiszaroff flood overflow reservoir
In 2010, the company was honoured with a Certificate of Merit for the Tiszaroff flood overflow reservoir in the environmental and water engineering facilities category.
In 2010, the Construction Committee of the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers honoured our regional director, Attila Pappert, with a Creator Award.
TIERNEY CLARK AWARD
The award, backed by the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers and the Association of Hungarian Consulting Engineers and Architects, is handed out by the jury for the civil engineering job that excels in terms of design, preparation, implementation and construction.
Tierney Clark Award 2010 – Kelenföld pump station
In 2010, we received a Certificate of Merit from the jury for the group of structures belonging to the pump house at the Kelenföld pump station.
