Last year, Colas Alterra replaced one of its Budapest-based maintenance vans with an all-electric Nissan E NV200. The Group is committed to sustainable development, and calculations based on previous annual mileage figures suggest that the new investment will pay for itself in just four years. The electric engine contributes to notable savings on fuel and maintenance costs, and as a further important factor, electric cars have a longer life cycle than their diesel-powered counterparts. Since its daily range of 110-180 kilometres is ideal for urban use, the new electric Nissan van will be mainly used within the Hungarian capital.
