Following last spring’s event, the season-opening race of the X-Trial world championship series was held in the László Papp Budapest Sports Arena on 20 January 2019 with Colas Alterra among the sponsors. Some 5,400 spectators turned up to witness defending champion Toni Bou take the first place, marking his 58th victory.
