We entered two – related, yet distinct – projects into the 2013 Construction Industry Award for Excellence competition.
In the category of infrastructural facilities, we submitted a joint application with Hídépítő Zrt. for the Budapest Central Wastewater Treatment Plant (BCWTP), whereas we entered separately in the environment and water engineering category with the current line draining of the BCWTP.
Finally, both projects received the Award for Excellence in their respective categories.
As recognition of his exceptional professionalism throughout the execution of the current line drainage project, regional director Attila Pappert received the Creator Award of the Hungarian Engineering Chamber’s Construction Industry Department for a second time.
The Budapest Central Wastewater Treatment Plant is Central Europe’s the most significant environmental investment, which fundamentally modernised wastewater treatment in the Hungarian capital, making the Danube’s water cleaner at Budapest.
The structure for the current line drainage system was built in the middle of the riverbed, under the main streamline of the Danube. A result of exceptional intellectual achievement, the project deserves to be called an extraordinary masterpiece of civil engineering.
