Budapest tram line 1 reconstruction (Kerepesi Rd.-Fehérvári Rd.)
The consortium uniting A-Híd Építő Zrt. and Colas Alterra Zrt. was also commissioned with renovating the next leg between the Puskás Ferenc Stadium (Kerepesi Road) and the Közvágóhíd public transport junction, as well as building the brand new tram line section between the Közvágóhíd and Fehérvári Road.

Colas Alterra joined in on the works in early June. The assignment covers the construction of three tram stops up to pavement level and establishment of the tracks on Szerémi Road and Hengermalom Road. The affected road sections will also undergo reconstruction, as re-paving, parking space- and bicycle road construction are all part of the company’s scope of works. At some locations, new noise walls are also to be erected. As an interesting improvement, trains coming down from the bridge embankment will run on grassed tracks up to the Fehérvári Road terminal – similarly to Vörösvári Road in Óbuda. The new section will be completed in the first half of 2015.
