Until recently, operations of the on-site lab unit responsible for production control tests at the bitumen emulsion plant of Colas Út Zrt. in Gyöngyös had been in the transformed part of a warehouse building extended by an old container. In connection with the makeover of the plant carried out this year, the company chose to have the lab relocated and renovated: by attaching one double and two normal-sized containers, a new, 60 sq m-unit has been unveiled to deal with quality control duties related to emulsion products. Similarly, overhaul works at the plant provided the opportunity for renovating the lab at Töltéstava. The rebuilding involved changing the layout of the unit to comply with new regulations and updated requirements.
