By order of the Hungarian State Motorway Management Company (ÁAK), Colas Hungária’s Technology Directorate performed comprehensive skid-resistance (and surface-roughness) testing of the country’s high-speed road network.

The job had been awarded to Colas through a tender procedure. Subsequently, colleagues from the Central Laboratory performed testing works with an ASFT friction-tester device, covering an aggregate length of 850 km.

Based on our performance of the task, we hope to compete successfully in future ÁAK tenders as well, with consideration to aspects of further National Public Road Database compatibility, comparability (older SCRIM data), and testing speed.
