The Technology Directorate of Colas Hungária Zrt. has been awarded a non-refundable grant worth 88.12 million forints from the programme entitled “Support for the R+D activities of Hungarian Firms”. The aim of the research scheme is to develop asphalt mixtures that are more durable than their currently-used counterparts by applying special additives.
Under the project, the Directorate has purchased a new piece of laboratory equipment suitable for studying the cold behaviour of asphalt mixtures. The device, manufactured by COOPER, was delivered by COMPLEXLAB Kft. on 3 October 2017. Commissioning was concluded ten days later, and the apparatus is now ready to perform tests.
