The eight asphalt mixing plants and one emulsion plant belonging to our Eastern Hungarian and Western Hungarian regional directorates ensures a nationwide coverage in terms of road construction, the manufacturing and sale of hotmix, and the manufacturing and sale of bitumen emulsion. Several decades of experience, well-trained personnel, and the application of first-grade materials guarantee the impeccable quality of our works.
ECO-FRIENDLY TECHNOLOGIES
In October 2012, Colas became the first company in Central Europe to build WMA (warm-mix asphalt) trial sections using foamed bitumen. With this method, we are capable of keeping mixing and installation temperatures down to 110-150 °C, which implies a 15-30 °C reduction in comparison with regular procedures, leading to lower energy consumption and significantly improved eco-friendliness.
