Under the leadership of the Colas subsidiary, the consortium of Colas Út Zrt. and HE-DO Kft. won the National Infrastructure Development Agency’s tender for the 11.5-tonne reinforcement of main road 31 in Heves County. The job entailed various developments and reconstructions on a 23-km-long stretch of the traffic corridor.

Colas Út had to complete works on 8 km outside, and nearly 7.5 km within built-up areas. On sections between settlements, the technical scope prescribed pavement reinforcement, single-side pavement widening, the refurbishment of shoulders, the correction of curves, and the establishment of bus stops. Within the affected towns and villages, Colas was responsible for the construction of stormwater drains and the reconstruction of the pavement structure, the relocation and protection of low-voltage and public lighting power lines, and we also built some of the adjacent minor roads together with a number of bus pull-outs.
