In 2009, Colas Út Zrt. commenced 11.5-tonne pavement reinforcement works on two sections of main road 4 in Hajdú-Bihar County. On total, 91,000 tonnes of asphalt was installed on the two stretches. The project also entailed the reconstruction of a bridge above the Keleti Main Canal, the conversion of six interchanges to improve road safety, as well as the establishment of two weighing stations. In addition, we performed the standardisation of multiple low- and mid-voltage power lines crossing the section, and we installed a new public lighting system at one of the interchanges.
