M25 northern phase - Colas Út
M25 northern phase
The northern phase of the M25 starts near chainage 0+000 of road 2502, and ends at the roundabout established as part of the road 252 renovation project. Following a period of 16 months, the works were finalised ahead of the 31 October 2018 contractual deadline. Notably, the M25 represents the first job in the history of Colas Út’s Eastern Hungarian Regional Directorate that involved the construction of a 2×2-lane high-speed road.

In addition to the carriageway itself, the investment entailed the creation of a multi-level interchange at the crossing point with road 2502, as well as a new corrugated steel structure on Olajosok Road. As for some further figures, we built no less than 16 kilometres of guardrails and 8.5 kilometres of safety fences. We also installed telecommunication lines for the road management equipment, which was linked up to the Eger operation and maintenance centre of the future road operator, Magyar Közút Nonprofit Zrt.
