The approximately 32 km of track to be resurfaced will pass through five junctions and two rest areas. In addition to replacing the asphalt on the left and right main carriageways, the project will also include the resurfacing of the on- and off-ramps, slowing and acceleration lanes and rest areas at the interchanges concerned. The major maintenance works, which will cover up to 64 km, will focus on replacing the existing wearing course of the road surface, but will also include the replacement of the binder course of sections of the road identified as unsatisfactory in preliminary surveys. The works will also include other sub-tasks such as the repair of bridge dilatations, the final traffic engineering and the regulation of the barrier strips.
