The railway bridge over the Danube-Tisza canal, which is part of the Budapest-Belgrade railway line, is of particular importance for the construction of the whole section of the line, which is approximately 150 kilometres long, as it will allow the transport of materials essential for the construction of the railway, such as crushed stone, sleepers and rails, once the bridge is in operation, and will greatly facilitate the organisation of the construction work.
