The construction works of the main carriageway of the section of the Eastern Sector of Motorway M0 between Main Road 3 and Motorway M3 commenced on March 20th 2006 by the taking over of the construction site and finished on September 16th 2008 with the opening ceremony.

The works along the route of expressway M0 affected four municipal areas in the said section, including the 15th and 16th districts of Budapest and Csömör and Fót in Pest County. The two main units of this section of the expressway include the construction of an 8 km length of new concrete paving, enlargement of the M0–M3 junction and widening of the existing road No 2/B between Motorway M3 and road No. 2/A.

For the construction of the concrete pavement we used a special concrete mixture type CP 4/2,7 – 32/S1, XF4. Two mixing plants of 120 m3/hour capacities each running round the clock provided the necessary quantity. The 11.00 m, 10.25 m and 7.50 m wide carriageways were built by the use of slipform
finisher type WIRTGEN 1600 SP. The 2.75 m wide emergency lane and the 3.50 m – 5.50 m wide intermediate lanes were built by a finisher type WIRTGEN 500 SP. In contrast to the usual practice in Hungary the contractors have undertaken for this project component 60 months of warranty backed by bank guarantee and additional 72 months of guarantee under bank guarantee.
